  9. Police investigate sex attack in bookmakers

    Detectives investigating the sexual assault of a woman in a Canterbury bookmakers have released a CCTV image of a man they'd like to speak to.

    It happened around midday on 3 September at the shop in St Dunstan's Street.

    Police believe the man in the picture may have important information.

  11. Sports centre gets the green light

    Dover's new £26m leisure centre has been given the go-ahead.

    The district council's cabinet has approved the plan for the building on a two hectare site in Whitfield.

    It'll feature an eight-lane swimming pool, a four-court sports hall, a gym with 120 stations, squash courts, a climbing wall and a cafe.

    It'll replace the town's existing sports centre in Townwall Street, which is 40 years old.

    Sport England is donating £1.5m to the project from the National Lottery, with the new centre ready to take over from its predecessor in 2019.

  12. Medway hit by two power cuts in 24 hours

    Power has been lost to 139 properties in Medway, because of a fault to an underground cable.

    It's the second power cut in the area today.

    The most recent problem happened about 13:45 BST, and follows an earlier power cut caused by a separate fault.

    Several thousand customers were affected by the first blackout.

    Pentagon Centre, Chatham

    Chatham's Pentagon shopping centre was affected by today's power cut, with 40 of its outlets having to close.

    The centre itself stayed open,with power to its 20 remaining shops provided by a diesel generator during the four-hour outage.

  13. Two arrested over Maidstone drug dealing

    Two men have been arrested by police investigating drug dealing in Maidstone.

    Officers patrolling in the Lockmeadow area yesterday saw a suspected deal take place on the path of the River Medway.

    A 19-year-old man from Ealing and a teenager from Maidstone were stopped and searched.

    Officers say they found seven wraps of a substance thought to be heroin, £120, two mobile phones and a claw hammer.

    Both people are being questioned on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.

  14. The dangerous weapons legally available across the Channel

    How easy is it to buy an illegal stun gun?

    Former Kent Police and Crime Commissioner Ann Barnes made the short trip to Northern France, where these potentially lethal weapons are available over the counter.
