  5. A63 to remain shut for 'several hours'

    Highways England say the A63 is expected to remain closed for several hours following a serious crash between a motorbike and a lorry near South Cave:

  6. A63 closed after motorcycle and lorry crash

    The A63 has been closed after a crash involving a motorbike and a lorry.

    Humberside Police said it was called to the "serious collision" on the eastbound carriageway between North Cave and Brough, shortly after 13:00.

    Emergency services are currently at the scene, and the eastbound carriage has been closed between South Cave and Brough.

    Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.

  7. Police seize 10kg of 'spice' and thousands of pills in raid

    More than 10kg of the spice drug and thousands of pills have been seized during a raid at a house in Hull.

    Humberside Police said the drugs were found in sports holdalls at a property on Coleridge Street, along with Diazepam, Valium and Viagra, and a huge amount of amphetamines.

    Officers say they also found stolen goods, which they think are linked to a number of burglaries and thefts in the city.

    The discovery has also led to a second raid at a different property in another part of the city where more than £1,000 worth of a class A drug, thought to be cocaine, was seized.

    Two men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of possessing illegal drugs with intent to supply.

  8. Escaped wallaby found after 36 hours on the run

    A wallaby has finally been caught after it went on the run for more than 36 hours in East Yorkshire.

    Monty escaped from his enclosure at the South Cave Falconry Centre, in South Cave, on Wednesday morning, sparking an appeal to find him by his owners.

    He was spotted in a farmer's garden near Holme-upon-Spalding-Moor yesterday evening and was subsequently caught using a net.

    An unexpected large object has been pulled out of a Hull watercourse:

    The Yorkshire and The Humber Marine Unit said they'd received reports of something a little different, when they were called to fish out a submerged vehicle in Holderness Drain.

    "Apparently it’s blue, clearly it’s been there some time," it tweeted.
