    I've been speaking to Hull KR assistant coach Willie Poching ahead of Friday's game against Huddersfield.

    He told me how the team will cope without James Greenwood, who hasn't fully recovered yet from a back injury.

  6. East Yorkshire MP speaks about Chilcot Inquiry

    David Davis, the MP for Haltemprice and Howden, has suggested Tony Blair may have deceived Parliament about the case for war in Iraq.

    Earlier today, the publication of the Chilcot Inquiry found that more peaceful options were not fully investigated in the lead up to the war.

  7. Sport: Hull KR's Jamie Peacock takes England role

    The Head of Rugby at Hull Kingston Rovers has been named as the England Team Manager for the upcoming Four Nations series.

  8. Goole school given improved rating by inspectors

    Marshlands Primary School in Goole has received a "good" rating by Ofsted inspectors.

    The school was previously rated as requiring improvement.

    The inspectors found that the progress of pupils had improved since the last inspection.

  9. Police appeal for missing man believed to be in Flamborough

    Police are trying to trace a man after his car was found at Flamborough Head this morning.

    Paul Whing is from Harrogate and was last seen by his partner on Tuesday.

    Paul is white, around 6ft tall with brown but greying hair.

    He wears glasses and was last seen wearing dark blue jeans and a short-sleeved shirt.

  11. Hull and East Yorkshire UKIP response to Chilcot Inquiry

    The UKIP MEP for Yorkshire and the Humber Mike Hookem has criticised the former Prime Minister Tony Blair for taking the UK to war in Iraq.

    Today, Sir John Chilcot outlined his findings on Britain's involvement in the war, saying that other peaceful options should have been explored further.

    The clubhouse and changing rooms at Welton and Brough Sports club are to get an upgrade.

    £100,000 will be spent on the project, which comes from Bellway Homes as part of their development on Welton Road, Elloughton.
