  2. Suspected drug dealer fails to turn up at court

    Andy Amadu

    A man wanted for failing to attend Oxford Crown Count after being charged with dealing drugs is being hunted by police.

    Andy Amadu, 28, is about 5ft 8 to 5ft 10ins, of slim build with short black hair.

    He was charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

    Mr Amadu is known to frequent Southwood Hill and Faracre Court in Northampton as well as Northampton Town Centre.

  3. Calls to review accident hotspot roundabout

    There are calls for urgent safety improvements for cyclists at an accident hotspot in Reading.

    Local cycle campaigners say 19 cyclists have been seriously hurt crossing the Vastern Road roundabout which links Reading Bridge to the station over the past three years.

    Reading council says concern about the junction was raised at a recent public meeting - and it's working with contractors to deliver safety improvements.

  4. CCTV appeal following sexual assault on bus

    Police have released images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a sexual assault on a bus in Christchurch, Dorset.

    Police said the man sat next to the woman, in her 20s, and attempted to kiss her and inappropriately touched her leg several times.

    The woman was travelling on the 1A Yellow Bus from the Barrack Road stop on Monday at 15:23 GMT.

  7. Appeal over camera collection given to charity shop

    An appeal has been made to trace a man who gave his late dad's camera collection to a charity shop.

    Barnardos in Commercial Road, Totton, said the collection was handed in to them on 16 January.

    Staff are asking the man to get back in touch as they have some "incredible news" for him.

  8. Road named after killed teen

    A road in Witney has been named in memory of a teenage girl who was hit by a car and killed while walking to school.

    Liberty Baker, 14, died in June 2014 in Curbridge Road when a car mounted the pavement - two of her friends, also 14, and a man were also hit.

    Robert Blackwell admitted causing death by dangerous driving - he was sentenced to four years in prison in April 2015.

    Liberty's friends and family will gather at Liberty Close, a new housing development, off Curbridge Road later.

  10. Storm Hannah warning halts chain ferry

    The chain ferry service at Cowes is being suspended tomorrow as Storm Hannah approaches.

    Isle of Wight Council said: "We are taking this safety precaution due to an exceptional situation beyond our control.

    "With winds predicted to be in excess of 20 knots, the chains need to be slackened to maintain clearances over the chains. With slack chains and strong winds, it is likely that Floating Bridge will be unable to land square to the slipway."

    A passenger launch will be in operation tomorrow from 05:00 to 22:30 GMT. The service is due to resume at 06:30 on Sunday morning.

  14. Man in court over Oxford Co-op stabbing

    A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a woman was seriously injured in a knife attack at an Oxford supermarket.

    Jordan Anderson, 30, of no fixed address, confirmed his name in the ten-minute hearing at Oxford Crown Court. He is due back in court on 4 June.

    The victim, in her 20s, is believed to have been with a child when she was stabbed on Tuesday.

    The attack happened outside the Co-op store in London Road, Headington, at at 15:10 on Tuesday.

    The woman was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
