  2. Road rage attacker sought

    A "road rage" attacker who jumped on to the bonnet of a taxi and started kicking and punching the vehicle is being hunted by police.

    Two people in an Audi car thought they had been cut up by the taxi at the Somerford roundabout in Christchurch in the early hours of last Wednesday.

    The car followed the taxi for some time.

    At one set of traffic lights both men got our of their car and began punching and kicking the driver’s door and window and smashed the windscreen.

    The driver stayed in his taxi and phoned the police, at which point the men got back in their car and drove off.

  3. CCTV released after women threatened by knife-wielding man

    Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to after two women were threatened with a knife outside a supermarket in Reading.

    The two women were approached by a man outside Tesco Extra on Portman Road at around 22:30 GMT on Wednesday 6 March.

    They got into an argument with the offender as they entered the shop before a security guard intervened.

    The suspect shoved the guard in the chest before leaving.

  5. Legal action launched against Bicester travellers

    Legal action has been launched to move on a group of travellers from private land in Bicester.

    Bicester Town Council said over the weekend caravans moved onto a carpark in Telford Road.

    It is working with Oxfordshire county and Cherwell district councils and Thames Valley Police to monitor the situation.

    Mayor Sean Gaul said: "As this is a civil trespass matter, it is for the land owner to initiate legal proceedings which we believe have been started."

  7. Sanhurst homes 'falling faster than anywhere in country'

    House prices in Sandhurst, Berkshire, are falling faster than almost anywhere else in the country.

    Average asking prices fell by 5.5% last year, to £409,000.

    That's the fourth biggest drop in Britain, according to the survey by property company Rightmove.

  11. Fall in children's dentists visits in Portsmouth

    There has been a fall in the rate of children visiting the dentist in Portsmouth, NHS figures show.

    As of June 2018, 55.3% of under-18s in the city had visited an NHS dentist in the past 12 months, down from 56.4% the previous year.

    But figures from NHS Digital showed that overall in England appointment attendances had grown with 58.6% of children seeing a dentist in 2018, up from 58.2% in 2017.

    Children in the catchment areas of Southampton City Council, Hampshire County Council and the Isle of Wight Council also improved on attendance.

  12. Drone restrictions come in to effect at airports

    New restrictions come into effect today extending the no-fly zones for drones around airports to 3 miles (5km).

    Among the areas covered by the rules are Ringwood Forest near Hurn and into the suburbs of Bournemouth and Ferndown.

    Eastleigh, Fareham and Titchfield are affected because of their close proximity to Southampton and Solent airports.

    It follows the 36-hour shutdown of Gatwick Airport before Christmas.
