AFC Bournemouth South Stand at Vitality Stadium

Premier League club Bournemouth have applied for planning permission to keep a "temprorary" stand at their Vitality Stadium home ground in place.

The South Stand was put in place in summer 2013 ahead of a pre-season visit from Champions League holders Real Madrid after the Cherries had been promoted from League One the previous season.

But a condition of the original planning permission required it to be removed and the land restored within five years.

The application for an extension to that lifespan is now with Bournemouth Borough Council for approval and the club are expecting a decision by April.
