Tank crew's amazing survival retold
The survival of the crew of a British tank, stranded in no man's land during the First World War, is being commemorated by a special exhibition at The Tank Museum in Bovington, Dorset.
The Mark lV tank 'Fray Bentos' advanced on 22 August 1917 but was soon on its side in a bomb crater.
Eight of the nine-man crew survived 60 hours of shelling and machine gun fire before crawling back to safety.
At one point the men threw back a German grenade before it exploded and drank water from the radiator to stay alive.
'Fastest shed" arrives at John O'Groats
A shed on wheels has reached John O'Groats after a six day trip to raise money for a hospice.
The converted Volkswagon Passat left Land's End on Thursday last week and has been touring the country on its way to the Scottish coast.
Owner Kevin Nicks, from Oxfordshire, transformed the car, dubbed the "world's fastest shed", in 2015.
He said the vehicle was "faultless" on the trip and had made many friends along the way.
Hundreds flock to warbler sighting
The American Yellow Warbler is thought to have been blown across the Atlantic by Hurricane Gert.

Ten concrete blocks, each weighing a tonne, have been installed at Bicester Village.
They've been put in place at the entrance to the shopping centre.
Similar blocks have been used in other places around the country to prevent vehicles being driven into pedestrians.
The centre says it doesn't comment on issues of security.

Boy 'grabbed' at recreation ground
A boy has told police he was grabbed by a stranger who had earlier followed him and his friend in Fareham.
The boys, aged 10 and 11, were playing at Cams Alders Recreation Ground on 7 August when the man appeared, police said.
The pair ran off and neither was physically hurt.
Police have released an e-fit image of the man, who is described as in his late 40s, with blue eyes and wearing a Manchester United football shirt.
Photo released of car break-in suspect
A photograph of a man police want to speak to in connection with a series of car break-ins has been released.
Nine vehicles have been targeted in the Canford Cliffs area of Poole since March, Dorset Police said.
Daniel Philip Upson, 42, of no fixed abode, is described as a 5ft 11ins slim white man with brown hair and a beard.

Decision time for £90m hospital scheme
The future of a £90m scheme to redevelop Ascot's Heatherwood Hospital will be decided tonight.
Planners oppose the scheme because the new homes, which would be built around the redesigned hospital, would be constructed on green belt land.
But hospital managers say they hope Royal Borough councillors will ignore the planners' advice and give the project the go-ahead.
Tribute to 'loving husband' killed in New Forest crash
A grandfather killed in a crash while cycling in the New Forest has been described as a “loving husband” by his family.
Steven Jones, who lived in Blackfield, died on the stretch of road near the Royal Oak pub in Hilltop, Beaulieu, on 12 August.
In a statement, his relatives said: “He will be very much missed by his family and friends.”
Police said investigations into the crash, which also involved a Seat Ibiza, were continuing.
NHS trials new mobile app to treat paranoia
People with paranoia are to be offered a new NHS app which encourages them to slow down their thinking.
Users can input information about distressing thoughts and use a tool to convey the intensity of the feeling.
The app, which has been called "the first of its kind", then encourages the user to slow down by asking a series of questions.
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust will trial it on patients in Oxfordshire and Berkshire.

Man charged with neck slash attack
A man has been charged with attempted murder after a teenager had his neck slashed in a street attack.
The 18-year-old victim was reportedly approached from behind in Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, at about 06:30 BST on Friday, police said.
He has since been released from hospital after treatment for a serious cut to his neck.
A 59-year-old Bournemouth man is due before Poole magistrates.
Edwardian Lido restored after 40 years

The baths in Reading are being renovated, using traditional techniques, by the team behind the Clifton Lido in Bristol.
