It wouldn't be a Lotto win without a champagne-spray picture, would it?

Syndicate leader, Steven Walker, said: "I was having a cup of tea at work when I decided to log on to the account.

"When I saw £1m staring back at me I thought there must be a mistake so I logged straight out of the account and then back in but it was still there!”

Nice one.

Can you help find an escaped falcon?

This is Keira, a dark brown Harris Hawk, who flew off during a display in Chelmsford on Sunday.

Her worried owner Phil Huzzey is now trying to trace her after she disappeared from a show at Hylands Park.

"When I got my tracking device I found the transmitter under the tree - she had ripped it off", he said.

Keira has a 4ft (1.2m) wing span, but Phil says if you see her don't panic, she "wouldn't hurt anyone".

Arcade owner 'slept on the floor' to protect business from flooding

It wasn't just Colchester affected by yesterday's flash flooding. Parts of Canvey and Southend also suffered, too.

Flooding in Southend

Today the Echo reports that one seafront trader in Southend, who spent £15,000 protecting his seafront business from flooding, slept on the floor as he tried to keep gushing rainwater at bay.

While flood barriers and shop shutters stopped floods destroying equipment in the Happidrome arcade, burst drains left the front part of the building covered in sewage.

Colchester floods leave Steve physically and emotionally drained

Steven Bridgeman says he's emotionally and physically drained after he was left drying off his home for the second time in five years.

Steven Bridgeman

"The water didn't cease flowing at a rapid rate for about four or five hours," he said after torrential downpours yesterday.

"The property is looking in a very sorry state at the moment."

Have you dried off from yesterday's flash floods in Essex?

The Ministry of Justice responded to BBC Essex's investigation on suicides at Chelmsford Prison with this statement:

The welfare and well-being of those in our custody is a top priority and every day, our healthcare staff provide support to thousands of prisoners at risk of self-harm or suicide, frequently saving lives through timely intervention... We are investing £1.3bn to transform the prison estate, while also training staff to respond effectively to prisoners experiencing suicidal, self-harm and mental health issues."

Chelmsford jail investigation came five months after interview with a prison suicide family

The investigation into Chelmsford Prison came five months after BBC Essex interviewed Mark and Donna Saunders, whose son Dean took his own life at the jail.

The 25-year-old was assessed at Basildon police station and it was found he tried to kill himself twice in 24 hours.

However, BBC Essex found this risk assessment wasn't passed on to psychiatrists so instead of going to hospital, he ended up in jail.

Chelmsford Prison suicide recommendations 'not acted upon'

Certain recommendations made to Chelmsford Prison after the deaths of inmates haven't been acted on, BBC Essex has learned.

Chelmsford Prison

There have been 12 suicides there in five years, the third-highest total in England and Wales.

When any suicide happens in jail the Prison and Probation Ombudsman writes a report which can include recommendations to try prevent such a death happening again.

BBC Essex has seen these reports and found that some recommendations made to the prison were not acted upon.
