    Tomorrow is expected to start off rather misty with some fog in places to begin with.

    Much of the mist will lift through the day but it will remain mostly overcast and brightness will be fairly limited.

  6. Toboggan ride, 30m, opens in city square

    Nottingham's Winter Wonderland in Old Market Square opens today.

    This year there will be a 30m long toboggan ride near the Brian Clough Statue as part of the festivities and a huge alpine bar in the centre of the square.

  7. Three charged following stabbing of 21-year-old

    Three men have been charged following a stabbing in North Sherwood Street, Nottingham.

    The men, aged 21, 20 and 18, are charged with causing grevious bodily harm with intent in relation to the stabbing of a 21-year-old man on 23 October, who was left with life-threatening injuries.

    The 21-year-old suspect is also charged with possession of class A drugs and the 18-year-old is charged with possession of a bladed article.

    They have been remanded in custody to appear Nottingham Crown Court on 12 December.

  8. Man 'scarred for life' after being slashed during dog walk

    A dog walker is recovering after being slashed in the face by a man riding past on a bike in Loughborough.

    Police said the 48-year-old is facing a lifetime scar after being targeted in Pear Tree Lane on Sunday morning.

    Police say 16-year-old Nana Vandevelde, who has been missing from the Top Valley area of Nottingham since Monday, has been found safe and well.

  11. Murder charge after man stabbed to death

    A man has been charged with the murder of a man who was stabbed to death in The Meadows area of Nottingham.

    Neil Thomson, 37, died in hospital yesterday after being knifed in the chest in Causeway Mews on 5 November.

    Nottinghamshire Police said a 27-year-old was in custody charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

    He is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 5 December.

  12. Search for missing man continues

    The search for missing Paresh Patel is continuing in Leicester today with specialist officers searching an area of Belgrave Road.

    The 48-year-old has been missing since Saturday night.

    CCTV footage has shown him walking close to Abbey Park after leaving home at about 21:00.

    There is particular concern for Paresh because he has not been reported missing before and he has a medical condition, which requires regular medication.

    Earlier this week Leicestershire Search and Rescue searched an area of the park and specially trained officers carried out water searches in the lake and other surrounding water.

    Hundreds of leaflets have also been handed out in the Belgrave Road area.

  13. Teacher questioned over pupil sex allegations

    A teacher from Ecclesbourne School in Duffield, Derbyshire, has been interviewed by police following allegations of having sex with a child.

    Derbyshire Police confirmed this took place in March last year and that no prosecutions were made.

    The case has been referred to the Derbyshire Safeguarding Children’s Board, the force said.

  16. VAR could be seen at King Power Stadium next season

    Video assistant referees could be used at Leicester City's King Power Stadium next season, after Premier League clubs agreed in principle to the move.

    The Premier League will now make a formal request to the International Football Association Board and Fifa to use VAR next season.
