  4. Derby sex attack appeal has over 100 responses

    An appeal to find a  serial sex attacker in Derby  after three women were seriously assaulted and another raped, has had an 'excellent' response.

    Since yesterday's appeal launch, the force has had over 100 responses via the dedicated phone line and email.

    Supt Tracy Harrison said: “The public have been excellent in their response and I’m grateful to everyone who has taken the time to get in touch.

    "Any information you have, no matter how small it may seem to you, could be instrumental in helping us to catch the man responsible for these attacks.”

  6. Witness appeal after indecent exposure in Ripley

    Witnesses are being sought after reports a man indecently exposed himself in Ripley near to Butterley brickworks last Thursday.

    At about 12:55 a woman was driving along Butterley Hill, when she said she saw a man exposing himself on the street while waving his arms about.

    Derbyshire Police have described the man as being white, aged in his 20s, of slim build and was wearing a black jacket and dark trousers.  

  7. Council cuts record office's hours to save £125,000

    Derbyshire County Council has agreed to cut the opening times of its record office to save £125,000 a year.

    A six-week consultation on reducing the opening hours from 41 to 30 hours a week took place last autumn.

    The office will be closed every Monday, and Saturday openings will be reduced to the last weekend of the month.

  14. New managers for both teams ahead of East Midlands derby

    Nottingham Forest have also appointed new manager Mark Warburton, after he left Glasgow Rangers last month.

  16. Water supplies in Derbyshire back on for some

    A number of homes in Bakewell, Chesterfield and Dronfield should all have water supplies back on, after a burst pipe in Wigley this morning, Severn Trent Water said.

    Some houses in the S42 area may still be having problems.

    But there's a small team of people working with Derby Theatre to provide a service that means you can enjoy a play, even if you can't see exactly what's going on.

  19. 'New lines of inquiry' over serial sex attacker

    Yesterday we told you about the appeal to find a serial sex attacker in Derby after three women were seriously assaulted and another raped.

    A new dedicated phone line was set up to try and find the person responsible for the attacks.

    Supt Tracy Harrison said the force had received "new lines of inquiry" to try to find the person responsible for the attacks.

    "I want to thank everyone who has been in touch with us so far," she said.

    "The calls and emails that have come in today have provided us with new lines of inquiry and we will be looking into them all."

    Extra officers have been drafted in to patrol the areas where the attacks took place.
