  3. Nigel Clough returns to Pride Park

    Tomorrow's game will also be Burton manager Nigel Clough's first return to Pride Park, since being sacked in September 2013 after over four and a half years in charge.

  6. Drug dealer caught by undercover cop jailed

    This is the woman who was caught dealing drugs by an undercover police officer.

    Claire Hardy, of Edward Street, was jailed for three years after she appeared at Derby Crown Court on Friday, Derbyshire police said.

    She pleaded guilty to possessing a class A drug with intent to supply.

    An undercover officer captured on camera the moment she tried to sell heroin in Derby city centre.

    The officer was cycling down St Helens Street last September, when they spotted the deal taking place.

  7. £15,000 grant for Ashbourne carnival

    Organisers of the Ashbourne Festival have been awarded a £15,000 Arts Council Grant to bring back the town's carnival.

    It's been a number of years since it was held in Ashbourne and residents think it's "brilliant".

    It will be held on Sunday, 18 June and is to have a South American theme.

    Heidi Buxton, who lives in Ashbourne, said: "I think it's brilliant, absolutely great.

    "I can remember when I used to be apart of the carnival many years ago, when I was in the Brownies."

    Lesharna Stafford was last seen on Friday at about 22:00 in Clay Cross. 

    The 16-year-old has links to Leicestershire and police say they just want to make sure she is "safe and well".

  11. Traffic: Delays on M1 southbound because of a crash

    Two lanes are closed and there is queuing traffic on the M1 southbound in Derbyshire between J28 for Alfreton and J27 for Hucknall because of a crash.

  12. Owner reunited with wedding photos

    Earlier on we told you about the wedding photos found in Chaddesden Park on Valentine's Day.

    Derbyshire police said couple who's wedding photographs were found in the park have been traced.

    The appeal was spotted by their daughter on social media.

  14. Derby County fan visits every English stadium

    Derby fan Ed Wood has broken the world record for visiting every English league ground in the shortest time. 

    Mr Wood managed to squeeze in a visit to every Football League stadium in England in just over six months.

    He has now set a new Guinness World Record of visiting 93 grounds in 189 days.

    On Saturday, 22,000 miles later, the Derby County fan reached his final ground, League One Rochdale's Crown Oil Arena.

  15. Arrest after boy dies in scooter crash

  16. 'Lost' wedding photos remain unclaimed

    Last week we told you about the discovery of wedding pictures apparently lost in Chaddesden Park but found by cleaners.

    Crime Scene Investigators have now enhanced some of the images and released more copies.

  18. Fly-tipped waste 'steaming and smelly'

    Uttoxeter farmer Richard Weston told us he's worried people will think he's to blame for tonnes of waste dumped on his land.

    Speaking to us earlier he said: "At the end of the day if they blame me they are blaming the wrong person, because it's nothing to do with me.


    "I'm just the victim who can't do anything about it.

    "It's sat here now and it's steaming, it smells, people are going to start complaining but again what do I do?"

  19. Fly-tippers strike again

    The Environment Agency is trying to find out who's responsible for dumping domestic waste in Yoxall, pictured, and Uttoxeter last week.

    The fly-tippers dumped waste in Yoxall just two days after waste was discovered on farmland near Uttoexeter.

    It's not yet clear if the two incidents are linked.
