    Khia Lewis-Todd

    BBC Local Live

A Derby man has had a bid to clear his name thrown out by top judges.

Steven Robert Green is currently serving 23 years for sex crimes against three schoolgirls.

Green, of Warner Street, was jailed last April and was described as a depraved "monster".

    Court of appeal

His legal team argued that his trial was unfair because the judge's summing-up to the jury was "unbalanced".

However, Lady Justice Hallett threw out his complaints - saying his sentence was "robust but amply justified".
