They say services will need to change if a looming financial crisis is to be avoided.

HS2 'will boost East Midlands economy'

A new report says an extra £4bn will be put into the East Midlands economy by 2042 if plans for HS2 go ahead.

The so-called growth strategy has been outlined by more than 30 organisations on the East Midlands HS2 Strategic Board. It claims 74,000 jobs would also be created.

'Issues' with Rolls-Royce engines for Emirates

An airline which signed the largest deal in Derby-based Rolls-Royce's history says it is having some unspecified technical issues with the engines on the aircraft it has ordered.

President of Emirates Khalifa Nahyan said he had hoped to take delivery of the Airbus A380s early next month but the company is waiting to "iron out" problems with the Trent engines.

Rolls-Royce said it was working with Emirates and Airbus to meet the planned entry into service of the Trent-powered A380 within the Emirates' fleet. 

The firm signed a £6bn deal for 50 of the aircraft last year.

The "minute book", which dates from 1898, has records of meetings, fines, and player transfers.

It has a reserve price of between £1,500 and £1,800.

The hunt is on for a lost "cuckoo" narrow boat believed to be buried in a once-thriving canal basin.

The club revealed this morning it is ending the naming rights deal with the sports drink manufacturer seven-years early.

After restructuring in both organisations, The Rams used an opt-out clause allowing them to change the name back to Pride Park.
