A seven-year-old cyclist has broken his leg in a suspected hit-and-run crash in Burton.

It happened in St James Street at about 15:30. Police are appealing for witnesses.

Kedleston water problems over

Looks like things are back to normal with the water supply in the Kedleston area.

A Severn Trent spokesman said: "We had six calls from customers regarding their water, we sent our team to investigate they checked the hydrants and properties nearby and couldn't find a problem.

"All six properties are now fine and the problem has gone away."

Severn Trent says it's received reports of discoloured water around the Kedleston area.

Inspectors are on site and investigating. 

The company says it has no reason to believe it could be a risk to people's health but it's advising people not to drink it.

Missing man last seen in Burton town

Police in Burton need help to find missing 24-year-old Luke Gregory, who lives on Goodman Street.

He was last seen in the town centre around 11:30 yesterday and officers say they're concerned about this "out of character" behaviour.

St Mary's nursing home closes today

A nursing home near Ashbourne that was rated as inadequate by the Care Quality Commission closes its doors today.

St Mary's in Ednaston was found to be unsafe by inspectors, who also said residents' records weren't up to date.

Lilley Corten from Stanton will be fulfilling a life-long dream when riding around the county tomorrow.

Wolves caretaker boss Rob Edwards has been forced into a goalkeeping change for his first home game in charge.

Andy Lonergan comes in for his first league start for the club, having replaced Carl Ikeme after he was forced off with a hip injury during last Saturday's 1-1 draw at Blackburn.
