  11. Council 'digging into reserves' to save Christmas

    The city council is using £35,000 of reserves to fund the lights.

    The council had previously announced they wouldn't be put on as part of cost cutting efforts.

    Interestingly - in response to the various criticisms their working practices - Sports Direct is to hold an "open day" on Wednesday 7 September
