    So will ex-Derby boss Paul Clement be part of Sam Allardyce's England set-up?

    FA technical director Dan Ashworth said at Burton today: "We're just in talks at the moment about finalising Sam's backroom team, and we hope to make an announcement in the next couple of days."

    Pushed as to whether the new England boss has asked about having Clement on board, Ashworth said: "I couldn't say. I couldn't talk about individual names."

  5. Councillor: Kingsway traffic delays 'unacceptable'

    Derby City Council's cabinet member responsible for highways councillor Asaf Afzal, has issued a statement about the Kingsway traffic issues.

    "The new traffic lights have proved to be problematic and I don't think it's acceptable for people accessing Kingsway retail park to be delayed to the extent that has happened in the last two weeks.

    "I've therefore decided that the traffic lights should be switched off."

    The newly-installed traffic lights at the entrance to the Kingsway retail park in Derby are to be turned off.

    The council says the lights won't be switched back on until a thorough review has taken place and they're confident it won't happen again.

    Rozi Raja, who is calling for more organ donors from ethnic minorities, said: "Now we really need to step in as a community, and say right we're willing to help because ultimately it is affecting us.

    "We're having to wait 18 months longer than any other community to get a transplant. We're desperate and there's only so much the NHS can do."

    You've been reacting to our story on Facebook about Derby City Council's plans to make savings over its libraries.

    Andrew Swift said: "If this is allowed to happen it is a disgrace. Soon there will be absolutely no facilities left for the people of Derby. This should be protested about in the strongest way possible."

  12. Imitation gun seized after police fire at suspect

    Police say a 31-year-old man who was thought to be carrying a pistol in Derby has been taken to hospital for assessment and is not thought to be seriously injured after a rubber bullet was fired at him.

    A silver imitation gun has been seized, and there'll be a full investigation into what happened earlier today.

    A 31-year-old man has been detained by police after he was seen on Stenson Road in Derby allegedly carrying a pistol.

    He failed to comply with instructions from an armed officer, who discharged a rubber bullet at the suspect while a colleague simultaneously fired a Taser.

  14. Community managed libraries on the cards

    Derby's libraries could all stay open if community groups come forward to run them. The city council hopes community trusts will operate them.
