    Before I get to the main forecast, I need to let you know there is a yellow rain warning in place for Derbyshire between 12:00 on Saturday and 23:55 on Sunday.  

    The heaviest and most persistent rainfall is likely to occur over high ground and will be accompanied by strong winds. 

    Please be aware of the potential for low level disruption due to difficult driving conditions and localised flooding.

    The inquest into the death of 60-year-old Malcolm Brown's death has been adjourned until Thursday 2 June. 

    New details have revealed Mr Brown was divorced and he was from Stockton on Tees. 

  10. Care home fire death inquest opens

    An inquest has been opened and adjorned into the death of a 60-year-old man who was found on fire outside a care home in Derby.

    The coroner, Ms Louise Pinder, said the opening of the inquest is part of ongoing investigations into what happened. 

    She confirmed there had been a post mortem examination but that there was no official cause of death as they were awaiting the outcome of further tests.

  15. Derby triathlon for internet star

    Bailey Matthews became an internet sensation when a video of him casting aside his walking frame to cross a triathlon race finishing line went viral.

    Now the nine-year-old, who has cerebral palsy, is organising his own family triathlon at Markeaton Park.
