    There's a Met Office yellow warning for rain and snow for tomorrow with heavy rain persisting until later in the day, and the potential for some snow particularly in the Peak District.

    A bakery worker from Burton says she's taken off her name badge at work because people don't believe that her name is Santa.

    The 28-year-old from Latvia came to the UK two years ago and says people often think they've misheard.

  4. Rams boss expecting a cracker

    Derby County head coach Paul Clement says he's expecting this weekend's top-of-the-table clash between the Rams and Brighton to be a great game.

  5. Trailblazers look to bounce back from cup defeat

    Derby Trailblazers return to league action away to Lancashire Spinners tomorrow, a week after being knocked out of the national cup at the semi-final stage.

    The Trailblazers are unbeaten in league action and currently top the division one table, while Lancashire are in eighth place.

  7. Fire in old storage unit at Burton

    Firefighters are dealing with a large fire at a derelict building in Burton.

    Staffordshire Fire and Rescue service were called to the old storage unit on Derby Street shortly before 14:30.

    It's not thought anyone was inside at the time.

  8. Clough to miss first game in charge

    Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough will be absent when the Brewers visit Gillingham tomorrow because the club says he needs to fulfill a contractual duty.

    Clough began a second spell in charge at the Pirelli Stadium this week, but will leave the League One leaders under the guidance of his coaching staff Andy Garner and Gary Crosby.

    The club says chairman Ben Robinson was aware of Clough's commitment this weekend when he was appointed, but that he wanted to get Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's successor in as quickly as possible.

  9. Five arrested over alleged kidnapping

    Detectives are investigating an alleged kidnapping in Derby following reports of a man being bundled into the back of a car along Moray Walk in Derby.

    The 25-year-old had left a block of flats when an altercation took place between him and two other men.

    The victim was then allegedly forced into the back of a Renault Scenic with three men inside, before being released at the Reginald Street entrance to Arboretum Park.

    Five men have since been arrested and a vehicle has been recovered.

  10. Fire in derelict building in Burton

    There's a large fire in a derelict building on the Derby Street industrial estate in Burton.

    Staffordshire Fire and Rescue service says the building is well alight. It's not thought anyone was inside.

  12. Man bailed over alleged fuel siphoning offence

    A man has been arrested by police on suspicion of stealing fuel from diggers at the Midland Railway in Butterley.

    Diesel was siphoned from two diggers overnight between Tuesday 24 November and the following day.

    A 37-year-old man from Ironville was arrested by police after reports of suspicious activity in the area and is currently on bail pending further inquiries.

  14. Homes masterplan withdrawn by council

    Amber Valley Borough Council has withdrawn its proposed housing masterplan.

    The local authority says it's no longer confident that developers will build enough homes by 2020.

  15. Burglars may have known about family's charity efforts

    A family from Derbyshire think they were targeted by thieves after raising money in memory of their mother.

    John Whitaker's home in Heanor was broken into just seven weeks after the death of his wife.

    His daughter Melissa says they raised more than £1,000 for charity and thinks it may have been someone who was aware of the family's fundraising.
