  5. Geoffrey Robinson MP 'will vote against Corbyn'

    Coventry North West MP, Geoffrey Robinson says Hilary Benn MP would make a "very good leader" of the party as Labour MPs vote on a motion of no confidence in the leader Jeremy Corbyn.

    "As everybody knows, I didn't support Corbyn's leadership."

    Reacting to the news that Coventry North East MP Colleen Fletcher had resigned from her shadow front bench position, he said Corbyn "didn't make a case for Europe during the referendum debates, but I don't think that's a reason to do what a lot of his colleagues have done".

    "But if somebody else is put up against Mr Corbyn, I shall vote against him."

  7. Watch: Marcus Willis celebrate his first Grand Slam win

    Marcus Willis, 25, described his presence at Wimbledon as "ridiculous" and "surreal".

    The world number 772 took time out from his coaching job at Warwick Boat Club to enter pre-qualifying two weeks ago and six victories later found himself in the draw for the world's most prestigious tennis tournament.

    "Three years ago", he said, he was a "loser seeing off pints" and decided he wanted to change his life.  

    "I just looked at myself in the mirror, I said, 'You're better than this'."

  8. Ex-MEP 'made fake travel claims'

    An MEP claimed "significantly higher sums" for travel and for trips "not undertaken at all", a court has heard.

    Nikki Sinclaire, 47, denies laundering money and committing misconduct in a public office, while representing the West Midlands for UKIP.

    Ms Sinclaire, from Solihull, wrongly claimed thousands of euros in travel expenses for journeys to the European Parliament by car when she had actually flown more cheaply, the court heard.

    She is accused of misconduct in a public office between 1 October 2009 and 31 July 2010 while a member of the European Parliament, by making or causing to be made false or dishonest travel expense claims.

    Warwickshire built a useful 131-run lead on day two against Nottinghamshire as Rikki Clarke followed up a three-wicket haul with a half-century.

    Notts were hampered by the loss of Luke Fletcher, who went off with a groin injury after delivering the first ball of his 11th over, having earlier been dazed after being hit on the head by a Boyd Rankin lifter.

  13. Watch: Marcus Willis stuns Ricardas Berankis at Wimbledon

    British qualifier Marcus Willis, who coaches at Warwick Boat Club, caused a huge upset with victory over world number 54 Ricardas Berankis at Wimbledon.

    Roared on by a vocal pocket of supporters on court 17, Willis saw off Lithuania's Berankis 6-3 6-3 6-4.

    Willis, who came through six rounds of qualifying to earn his debut at the All England Club, will next face seven-time champion Roger Federer in round two.
