    Although they are the smallest of the 92 league clubs they have the financial backing of green energy millionaire Dale Vince.

    Under his ownership Forest Green have made headlines for being the only vegan football club in the world, but he's confident they can make their mark on the pitch too.

    Children and toddlers aren't who you'd usually expect to see moving around a skatepark.

    At the Campus Skatepark building in Bishopsworth, Bristol, the owners decided to give the little ones a safe space to experiment on two, three or four wheels, saying that regular skateparks are often too dangerous for smaller children to learn how to skate.

    Organisers hope it will prove popular over the school holidays.

  4. New railway station in Bristol 'ready for 2020'

    Five new railway stations - including Portway Parkway in Bristol - should be completed by March 2020 after funding was confirmed, officials have said.

    The Department For Transport (DFT) said it will invest more than £16m in four stations in England and one in Wales.

    Horace Thompson lived in Swindon and fought in WW1 at the Battle of Passchendaele.

    Also known as the Third Battle of Ypres, it began on 31 July 1917 and lasted 100 days.

    British general Douglas Haig wanted to get through German lines to reach Belgian ports to destroy German submarines.

    It ended with the Allies only making five miles progress, and almost 500,000 people died from both sides of the fighting.

    Training took place on Salisbury Plain and mud and heavy rain was a feature for most of the battle.

    It's exactly a year tomorrow that nine-year-old Henry Bromberg died as he waited for a heart transplant.

    The inspirational Gloucestershire boy stole the show during Children in Need in the West in 2015.

    He went on to become an ambassador for the charity Readathon and his legacy lives on, with tens of thousands of pounds raised in Henry's memory.

  10. Road to be closed for railway works

    Here's a reminder that Stapleton Road in Bristol will be closed to traffic from 9pm tonight, until 6am on Monday morning.

    Network Rail is replacing the old Victorian viaduct. Engineers began demolishing it earlier this week.

    The road needs to be closed to vehicles and pedestrians over the weekend in order for the section to be removed safely.

    A signposted diversion route will be in place.

  11. Cladding safety unknown at Waverley House

    Workers have removed part of the cladding on an accomodation block in Bristol which homes hundreds of students.

    It's being done on the advice of the fire service following the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

    The government has said the material used on 82 buildings has failed new safety checks but it's not yet known if Waverley House is among them.

  15. Football: Defender signs Yeovil contract

    Yeovil Town have made defender Daniel Alfei their ninth summer signing following a successful trial period.

    The 25-year-old, a former Wales Under-21 international, has agreed a two-year contract with the League Two club.

    Released by Swansea in 2016, he most recently played for Welsh Premier League side Aberystwyth and has played four pre-season games for Yeovil.

  16. Marine 'frozen' with fear of dissidents

    Ciarán Maxwell

    A Royal Marine who made bombs for dissident republicans faked his support for their cause as he was "frozen" with fear, a court has been told.

    Ciarán Maxwell, who was based with 40 Commando in Taunton, was said to be trapped in an "intolerable double life" where he was a "Royal Marine by day and republican bomb maker on leave".

    He admitted a series of terror charges ahead of the pre-sentence hearing.

    An Old Bailey judge is expected to pass sentence on Monday.
