    He then gave a lengthy speech, reflecting on his Bristol roots, his Bristol hopes and his thanks to all his Bristol supporters.

    He adds during his speech that it was the end of politics for him.

    "What an incredible journey it has been," says Labour's Marvin Rees, the new mayor of Bristol.

    "This didn't start in 2012 for me, it began many, many years ago."

    During his victory speech he gave thanks and paid tribute to all his supporters and said the "collective action" had been humbling.

    Elsewhere, it's half-time at the Memorial Stadium and it's all square between Bristol Rovers and Dagenham and Redbridge.

    Both Oxford and Accrington are locked in 0-0 stalemates, and if that remains the case and The Gas find a winner, they'll be promoted today.
