There are likely to be on and off showers this evening and overnight, and you could even hear the odd rumble of thunder. 

It will be another warm and humid night, particularly in built up areas such as Bournemouth and Winchester, with lows of about 19C (66F).

Gosport small ships parade under way

Twenty one teams have completed the Association of Sail Training Organisations (ASTO) Dartmouth to Gosport Small Ships Race, which began on Monday, and 180 under 25s involved are currently parading through Gosport.

  • The Great Dorset Steam Fair begins tomorrow and runs until Monday. Delays are expected on the A354 between Salisbury and Blandford to the Tarrant Hinton site. Damory Coaches is providing services from Salisbury and Bridport
  • It's also the start of the Melplash Agricultural Show, near Bridport - gates open at 08:30 and delays are expected on the A35 to the site on West Bay Road
  • A free bus will run to and from the show from Lyme Regis, Charmouth and Bridport. A free car park will operate on the A35 at Bridport, with a free park and ride available on Burton Road

Great Britain will have a team of 257 athletes - including from Dorchester, Southampton, Portsmouth, Fleet, Farnham and Eastleigh - competing at the Rio Paralympics in 19 sports.

Car hit by object thrown from motorway bridge

Police are investigating after a car windscreen was smashed by an object that was thrown from a motorway bridge.

A 57-year-old woman, from Gosport, was in the Ford Focus when it was hit as it travelled under the Hulbert Road Bridge on the A3M, Hampshire Constabulary said.

The force is appealing for witnesses.

Gosling (pictured right) admits he's been "very frustrated" not to have featured more in the team's opening matches of the season.

Lyme Regis Candles on the Cobb charity fundraiser ends

A group which raised more than £130,000 for charity by a staging candlelit event in Lyme Regis has announced it is ending its activities.

Candles on the Cobb illuminated Lyme Regis harbour wall with more than 5,000 tealights on five occasions since 2000. 

Founder Phil Street said committee members were "burnt out" by planning the event but it had surpassed expectations.

'No room for travellers here'

Bournemouth's council, which is seeking to evict a group of travellers from a recreation ground, has said it has no suitable sites and no available pitches in the borough for travellers.

Spiny seahorse sighted in Weymouth

A rare type of seahorse has been spotted in the sea off Weymouth.

The creature was seen by Weymouth Sea Life Centre's marine biologist, Chris Brown during a dive. 

The Seahorse Trust, said the breed was "seldom" found and described the sighting of the heavily-pregnant male spiny seahorse as "so valuable".

Ambulance staff body-cams 'to tackle paramedic attacks'

Paramedics could start wearing body cameras in the south east of England as part of efforts to tackle a 46% rise in assaults on them. 

South East Coast ambulance

South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) trust data showed attacks rose yearly from 98 in 2011-12 to 184 in 2015-16, including a jump from 126 in 2014-15 to 184 last year. 

Secamb said several ambulance services were looking at using "body-cams". 

Unison has called for a government-led task force to tackle the problem.
