Image caption An osprey catches two rainbow trout at Rothiemurchus in Kincraig, Scotland. The birds migrate each spring from Africa and nest in tall pine trees around the Aviemore area. Hunted to the point of extinction in the Victorian era, their migratory habits eventually brought them back to Scotland with the first successful breeding pair being recorded in 1954.
