Your pictures: Floating
Readers' photographs on the theme of floating.
Each week, we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week it is "floating", and we begin with a picture by Francesca Petryszak of the Titlis Cliff Walk in Switzerland floating in the midday cloud.
Jenny Downing: "Bubbles floating on the surface of a just-poured glass of wine."
Claire Goodbody: "The 'Stretchy Men Synchronised Floating Team' in training."
Alan Smillie: "When I saw the BBC In Pictures theme was floating I went down to the harbour here in Setubal, Portugal to get a photo of something floating. Within a few minutes a subject came floating by, it was a Super Bock beer bottle so this is my floating theme photo."
Cathryn Gallacher: "A passenger on the P&O cruise ship Azura, floating in the Atlantic."
Lise Leino-Punwar: "Yellow flowers of Bali."
Bernard Gillespie: "I took this photo of a father and son floating on a sail board close to sunset in North County Dublin (the village of Skerries) - it was one those balmy evenings - even the adjacent seagull seemed relaxed."
Jennifer Mishra: "Grabbed a colourful umbrella to combat another gray day at a nature preserve in central Illinois. The umbrella had plans of its own."
And finally, a picture of oil drops in a glass of water by Rob Ashcroft. The next theme is "cold weather", and the deadline for your entries is 9 February. If you would like to enter, send your pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org.
