In pictures: Faberge jewels

A new film, Faberge: A Life of its Own, opens in cinemas this month and explores the history of the company created by Peter Carl Faberge in the 19th Century. Here we present some items shown in the film, including this one, the Twelve Monograms Egg from 1896.
The Third Imperial Egg was presented by Tsar Alexander III to Empress Maria Feodorovna, in 1887. It was rediscovered by a scrap metal dealer in the United States and sold privately in 2014.
It is believed the egg sold for around £20m.
This detail of a carved spinel, probably 17th Century Mughal, is mounted on the lid of an ornamental box from 1890.
The Pearl Egg, 2015, was commissioned to mark 100 years since the production of the last Imperial Egg for Tsar Nicolas II. It features more than 3,000 diamonds and pearls.
The film was directed by Patrick Mark and collected a number of awards, including one for Outstanding Achievement in Film-making, at Newport Beach.
Faberge: A Life of Its Own is released on 29 June.
