Readers' photos on the theme of statues.

    Each week we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week it is "statues" and we begin with this photograph taken by Jason Shrubb, who said: "Ice cream and bunnies, roll on spring."

  • Tiny statue

    Dafne Corvetto: "This is a tiny statue I made out of a little piece of chalk. It's painted with glue and it's just 16mm [0.6in] high."

  • Workers Party Monument of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea

    Tom Lowther: "This is the Workers' Party monument in North Korea's capital, Pyongyang. The statue features the hammer, sickle and writing brush, representing the worker, the peasant and the intellectual."

  • Discarded sculptures

  • Teletubby statues

    Carolyn Ablett: "In the Chinese town of Chongwu, Fujian province, you can buy almost any type of statue. These Teletubbies are currently for sale."

  • Cormorant statues at Morecambe

    Anne Stephens: "Some wacky seabirds at Morecambe. I was using black and white as I was taking pictures of an art deco hotel nearby, when I spotted these sculptural cormorants on the sea front."
