Each week we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week it is "statues" and we begin with this photograph taken by Jason Shrubb, who said: "Ice cream and bunnies, roll on spring."
-
Dafne Corvetto: "This is a tiny statue I made out of a little piece of chalk. It's painted with glue and it's just 16mm [0.6in] high."
-
Tom Lowther: "This is the Workers' Party monument in North Korea's capital, Pyongyang. The statue features the hammer, sickle and writing brush, representing the worker, the peasant and the intellectual."
-
Amy Smith: "A security guard reads his paper next to a statue of rioting workers in downtown Shanghai."
-
Marijke Durieux: "I found these randomly discarded studies behind an art studio of a college and was captured by the realistic expressions, despite the impurities and the surrounding rubbish. Maybe a bit like real life?"
-
Patrick Temmerman: "A golden angel adorning the main building of our local botanical gardens in Leuven."
-
Alan Thomas: "A statue at Oslo's Vigeland Park."
-
Carolyn Ablett: "In the Chinese town of Chongwu, Fujian province, you can buy almost any type of statue. These Teletubbies are currently for sale."
-
Anne Stephens: "Some wacky seabirds at Morecambe. I was using black and white as I was taking pictures of an art deco hotel nearby, when I spotted these sculptural cormorants on the sea front."
-
Joona Niskanen: "A statue on top of the Helsinki Cathedral at noon."
-
Jo Loney: "Catching a child statue, taken in gardens on Scilly Isles."
