Audio slideshow: The Dartmoor Classic Cyclosportive

The Dartmoor Classic is a non-commercial Cyclosportive organised by the Mid-Devon Cycling Club, offering riders a choice of three routes, from the Grande at 107 miles (173km), to the Debutante at about 33 miles (54km).

This year more than 3,000 riders battled wind and rain. Here, Ron Keegan, promoter and one of the founders of the event, offers his views on the race and its history.
