Your pictures: Floral
- Published

Each week we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week the theme is floral and we start with a photograph taken by Rakesh Chandode: "These are the seeds of a dandelion flower, which are in last stage of the floral life."

Nikki Zywina: "Sakura (cherry blossom) branches reflected in a puddle amid fallen petals in a park in Kakunodate, Tohoku, Japan. This year the cherry blossoms are even more important than usual as a symbol of hope and survival during hard times."

Michaela Gunter: "Macro shot of a daisy, with an aphid exploring it, which I didn't notice until I looked at the shots on my PC."

Kari Smith: "I couldn't resist the temptation to send in this picture of my daughter, Roslin Claire. She is 18 months old, but was about seven months old in this picture. We were having a lovely day out in the summer sunshine at Grandma's house near in Iowa. I think that the picture shows the innocence and wonder of youth, and it quickly became one of our family's favourites. She loves being outside and I can't wait to show her the garden in bloom this year now that she is a bit older."

Jim Young: "A coloured Convolvulus, taken in Boston, USA."

Lizzie Coombes: "A close-up of a dandelion clock. I have always loved them since being a kid and find myself photographing them every year."

Hassibi Mora: "Naveed was posing for me, he was expecting a very, very nice picture of him, but he never imagined that I was focusing in the flowers in front of him. When he saw the picture, he was a little bit disappointed at first but admitted that the flowers were really pretty."
