EastEnders veterans Barbara Windsor and Pam St Clement are to appear in a Gogglebox-style programme as part of the BBC soap's 30th anniversary.

The programme, to be screened on the BBC iPlayer, will see them reminisce on their time in the show as they watch clips of themselves in action.

"At times we completely forgot we were being filmed," said Windsor, who played Queen Vic landlady Peggy Mitchell.

EastEnders: Back to Ours begins on 26 January.

"We got terribly carried away," continued Windsor, who will be returning to EastEnders during the anniversary week which starts on 16 February. "In fact we got quite outrageous!"

St Clement, who played Pat Butcher, said it had been "fun... not only catching up with Babs but being surrounded by friends and crew from the EastEnders production team - it was like coming home."

Other EastEnders stars who will be appearing in the Back to Ours spin-off include Shane Richie, Jessie Wallace and Rudolph Walker.

The 30th anniversary week entails various live elements, including an entire live episode.
