Robbie Williams recruits Lily Allen for live show
Robbie Williams is to perform duets with Lily Allen and Rufus Wainwright at a one-off live swing show next month.
Muppets Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog will also appear at the London Palladium, singing songs from Williams's new album Swings Both Ways.
He and Allen have recorded Dream a Little Dream, previously sung by Ella Fitzgerald and The Mamas & The Papas.
The show on 8 November will be Allen's first live UK performance since taking a break from music to have children.
The singer and mother of two stepped out of the limelight following her 2009 album It's Not Me, It's You, but in February this year performed at a Paris fashion show produced by former collaborator Mark Ronson.
She is now gearing up for the release of her third album, which she promised Twitter followers in August would be "soon", and has also penned songs for the forthcoming Bridget Jones musical.
Williams's latest record is his second swing-themed release after 2001's Swing When You're Winning - a play on the name of his previous studio album, Sing When You're Winning.
Kelly Clarkson, Michael Buble and Olly Murs have also recorded tracks for the album, including I Wan'na Be Like You from The Jungle Book, featuring Murs.
Williams's new single, Go Gentle, is released on 11 November, with the album following a week later.
Swings Both Ways has also seen Williams reunite with long-term writing partner Guy Chambers for several new songs.
The one-off gig is being filmed for broadcast on BBC One at a later date.
A statement released by Williams's management quoted Miss Piggy as saying: "Moi is always thrilled to perform at the Palladium, no matter who I have to share the stage with.
"But being up there with moi's dear friend Robbie Williams and Kermie will make this night even more spectacular."
