David Suchet scoops best actor in a play award

Actor David Suchet was named best actor in a play at the What's On Stage Awards on Sunday, for his leading role in Arthur Miller's All My Sons last year.

The play, based on the true story of a family man who sold faulty parts to the US airforce during World War II, also earned Suchet's co-star Zoe Wanamaker an award for best actress.

Suchet, best known for his portrayal of television detective Hercule Poirot, spoke to BBC Breakfast about his win and revealed audiences would soon be able to watch recordings of the play online.
