(Close): The FTSE 100 was slightly behind at the close of play in London on Friday.

The index of leading blue chip stocks was down 2.41 points at 6775.25.

Winners included the Thomas Cook Group, Fidessa Group, Pearson and AstraZeneca.

The London Stock Exchange Group was up 1.2% after it had announced a plan to raise £938m through a rights issue.

Main fallers were IG Group Holdings, SSE, Vedanta Resources and Halfords Group.
