Strong yen weighs on Japan stocks


The strong yen is weighing down the Japanese stock market, Naomi Fink, a Tokyo-based strategist for Jefferies, tells the BBC.

In fact, its impact on stocks and sentiment is greater than its influence on Japanese corporate earnings, she says.

The yen has risen nearly 3% against the US dollar in the past three months, but Ms Fink believes it may weaken in the coming months.
