Worsening inequality in Manila

The Asian Development Bank begins its annual meeting in the Philippine capital, Manila on Wednesday.

Ministers, senior government officials and business leaders are coming together to discuss Asia's growth story and how the region can remain prosperous.

Also on the agenda, is an issue of mounting concern to many Asian leaders, the growing disparity between the rich and poor.

Not far from where the meeting is taking place in Manila, is a slum where none of the country's recent economic fortunes are being felt.

The BBC's Kate McGeown reports.
