Asia focus on sustainable fishing

Asia's appetite for seafood has come under the spotlight, at the first World Oceans Summit taking place in Singapore this week.

Some 27 countries are represented at the summit, which is looking at a number of issues, including ocean ecosystems and sustainable business methods.

Overfishing has wiped out the supply of wild-caught marine fish in many parts of Asia, with severe repercussions on business operators in the industry.
