Portland mayor speaks after men died defending Muslim

Portland's mayor has sent a warning following the killing of two men who stepped in to defend a Muslim teenager.

Ted Wheeler told a press conference that the "brave and selfless actions" of Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche , Ricky John Best and Micah David-Cole Fletcher, who was injured in the attack, "should serve as an example and inspiration to us all".

But he said it went to prove that "violent words" can lead to "violent acts".
