Charlotte Police 'We're assessing our people'

Police in North Carolina say they are investigating after a protester was shot during demonstrations in Charlotte.

A state of emergency has been declared in the city after a second night of protests over the police killing of a black man.

Charlotte's Chief of Police Kerry Putney said he was here to "seek the truth".
