Aung San Suu Kyi's first visit to the US as leader

Aung San Suu Kyi, the leader of Myanmar and the world's most famous former political prisoner, has visited the US for the first time since becoming de facto head of her state.

On Wednesday during her visit, President Obama lifted some of the economic sanctions against Myanmar.

So what makes her one of the world's most powerful women?
