The American cheese mountain

There is far too much cheese in America, so the US Department of Agriculture is buying a massive amount of it.

The USDA have said they will buy roughly 11 million pounds ($20 million) worth of cheese and distribute it to food banks around the country.

Bruce Babcock, Professor of Economics of Iowa State University, told BBC Radio 4's World Tonight that "people can only eat so much cheese".
