Jimmy Carter: We must try to eradicate, not just control diseases

Jimmy Carter has stressed the importance of trying to eradicate, rather than just control, diseases globally.

The former president of the United States, also said he thinks the UK should stay in the European Union.

He is in London for an event on the eradication of guinea worm disease.

It is an extremely painful condition that used to affect millions of people in many African and Asian countries.
