Disgraced tycoon Allen Stanford talks to the BBC

Disgraced tycoon Allen Stanford, currently serving 110-years in prison for his role in one of the biggest Ponzi schemes in US history, has given his first interview since 2009.

The Texan banker rose to prominence outside the US when he bankrolled international cricket competitions in the UK and Caribbean.

But he became the subject of several fraud investigations and on 17 February 2009 was charged with investment fraud worth $7bn (£4.5bn).

He spoke to the BBC's Dan Roan about life inside.
