Gas leak in Los Angeles forces thousands to flee their homes

A state of emergency has been declared in California after a major gas leak forced thousands of people from their homes in Los Angeles.

Since October huge quantities of methane gas have been escaping from an underground storage facility.

People have been complaining of headaches and nausea.

James Cook reports.
