Top US diplomat in Cuba on an 'extraordinary' year

On 17 December 2014, US President Barack Obama and Cuban President Raul Castro announced the historic decision to put decades of Cold War hostility behind them and re-establish long-frozen diplomatic ties.

Charge d'Affaires Jeffrey DeLaurentis, who leads the US embassy in Cuba, spoke to the BBC's Will Grant about what's changed in the year since, including the 'extraordinary day' of the first announcement.
