How long should mothers take off after they give birth?

The announcement that Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer is planning to take limited time off from work after having twins later this year has re-ignited the debate over how soon new mothers should return to their jobs.

The United States is one of the few countries that doesn't guarantee paid maternity leave. By contrast, Sweden provides 16 months of paid leave that can be split between parents.

The BBC's Rajini Vaidyanathan reports on how two couples are adjusting to life as new parents.
