Obama: 'We need to debate gun reforms'

President Barack Obama has said the US "has to have a conversation" about gun safety, two days after nine people died in a shooting at a church in Charleston.

He made the comments during an address to the United States Conference of Mayors in San Francisco.

He paid tribute to the victims of the shooting.
