UK explorers smash Greenland ice cap crossing record

A team of four British adventurers has broken the record for the fastest crossing of Greenland's ice cap.

The polar explorer Tom Avery and his team travelled 350 miles coast-to-coast in a time of nine days, 19 hours and 40 minutes.

They knocked more than eight days off the previous record.
