Ferguson unrest: 'This is an American problem'

The decision of a grand jury not to indict a police officer following the fatal shooting of an unarmed teenager sparked widespread unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, on Monday night.

Michael Brown, 19, was killed on 9 August, which led to protests at the time that have flared in the months since.

US President Barack Obama condemned the violence and said that the discontent expressed by communities needed to be addressed not just in Ferguson, but across the United States.
