New York mayor update on US Ebola patient

Health care workers in New York are treating the first case of Ebola in the city. Dr Craig Spencer had recently returned from Guinea, where he was treating victims.

He had been back in the US for a week, before developing symptoms. Officials said he was only in close contact with three people - and they are now in quarantine.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio is hosting a press conference in Brooklyn with an update on the condition of Dr Spencer.
