Part of Old Ledbetter Bridge demolished in controlled explosion

Part of a bridge has been demolished near Paducah, Kentucky, in the United States.

Demolition crews brought down the first of four 121m sections.

According to local news, the Old Ledbetter Bridge was built in 1913 and closed last year.

Spectators were allowed to watch as the bridge section came down.

This footage shows the controlled explosion from several angles.
