Abu Hamza guilty verdict 'justified', says kidnap victim

A victim of a 1998 kidnap in Yemen says that the verdict by a New York court to find Abu Hamza al-Masri guilty of supporting terrorism has justified his claims that the abduction was instigated by the radical Muslim cleric.

Laurence Whitehouse's wife was killed when they were kidnapped by an Abu Hamza-led group and used as human shields by the kidnappers to protect themselves against the Yemen army.

First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Tuesday 20 May.
